Some basic features of the app:
1. Browse talks through categories : Some awesome talks are lined up for this conference but with parallel tracks, its difficult to find talks in specific areas.
2. Other events running in parallel : Starting from 5k run to code retreats to photo walks, there are a lot of events happening that will make your Edinburgh conference experience special. We have tried to organize them at a common place under other events category.
3. Create your personalized schedule : Pick sessions that really interest you and create your personalized schedule. There is a small pick link on every event.
4. Find who is interested in each talk : Finding people with similar interests in a conference is always a challenge. We have tried to find those people based on which sessions they have picked up for their
personalized schedule.5. Comments : If you want to discuss something about a particular talk, you can post a comment.
6. Rate talks and events : You can rate any talk after the talk starts.
7. Popular Talks : Based on number of attendees picking each event, we will probably be able to find out some popular talks and possibly plan accordingly, if required.
We have kept authentication through twitter. So in order to create your personalized schedule, or rate a session, you need to login through twitter.
The application is still in very early stage and is rough on edges and we are constantly working on improving it.
This small initiative needs your support.
